Editorial Policy

Air & Habitat publishes practical, independent articles about home air, ventilation and thermal comfort. This policy explains how we work and what we do not do.

Sourcing

We rely on publicly available guidance from government and standards organizations, such as the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency and the U.S. Department of Energy. We link to primary sources when possible. We do not claim measured keyword volumes or SERP research. We do not present synthetic data as measured findings.

Scope limits

We write for a general English-speaking audience. We do not provide medical advice, diagnose health conditions, or prescribe gas, electrical or structural installation procedures. Planning, materials, comparisons and visual literacy are within scope. When a topic requires a licensed professional, we say so plainly.

Independence

We are not owned by, funded by or affiliated with a manufacturer, utility, contractor or former business identity. We do not publish sponsored content or accept payment for coverage. Any future advertising or affiliate arrangement would be clearly disclosed and kept separate from editorial decisions.

Voice and accuracy

Our voice is precise, approachable and concrete. We avoid em dashes, en dashes, fake experience and superlatives. We prefer specific, checkable statements over broad promises. We label uncertainty and note when guidance may change.

Images

Images on this site may be synthetic or illustrative. They are not photographs of a specific product, home or installation. They exist to help readers visualize a concept. Captions or context notes will indicate when an image is illustrative.

Corrections

If you find an error, see our contact page for how to submit a correction with article identification and supporting evidence. When we correct an article, we update the text and add a dated note explaining the change.

Updates

We may revise articles as public guidance changes. We date substantive updates so readers can see what changed and when.
